Privacy Policy
Last updated: [date]
This Privacy Policy explains how [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME], doing business as PhoneCash SWFL (“we,” “us”), collects, uses and shares information when you use this website or sell a device to us.
Information we collect
- Information you give us online: name, mobile number, email, ZIP code, preferred city and contact method; device brand, model, storage, condition, functionality, battery health, ownership answers, and photos of the device.
- Information collected at an in-person purchase: Florida law (Chapter 538, Florida Statutes) requires secondhand dealers to record certain seller information for each purchase, which may include government-issued photo ID details, physical descriptors, address, a thumbprint and a signed ownership statement, plus device identifiers such as IMEI. We collect this only at the time of an in-person transaction and only as required by law.
- Automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and advertising identifiers and cookies (including the Meta Pixel and the _fbp / _fbc cookies) and campaign parameters (UTM tags) from the ad you clicked.
How we use information
- To evaluate your device, contact you about an offer, and schedule and complete a purchase.
- To verify ownership, prevent fraud and the purchase of lost or stolen property, and comply with legal and law-enforcement reporting obligations.
- To send transactional texts and emails you requested, and, if you agreed, follow-up messages about your offer.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including sending hashed (encrypted) contact details and event information to Meta through the Meta Pixel and Conversions API.
How we share information
- With service providers who help us operate (hosting and database, SMS and email delivery, analytics and advertising measurement), under contracts limiting their use of the data.
- With law enforcement as required by Chapter 538 and other law, or in response to valid legal process.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing.
Your choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text to opt out; reply HELP for help.
- Email: reply “unsubscribe” or contact us.
- Ad cookies: choose “Opt out” on our cookie notice, clear the pc_consent setting in your browser to see the notice again, or adjust your ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
- Access or deletion: email [contact email]. Some records must be kept for the period required by law.
Retention and security
We keep lead information for as long as needed to respond to your request and for our business records. Purchase transaction records are kept for at least the period required by Florida law (currently three years). Photos are stored in private storage accessible only to authorized staff. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not buy devices from minors.
